The James Bond franchise has been largely untouched since
Nintendo’s Goldeneye, and after acquiring the license, EA promised an
impressive slate of products based on the Bond name. First was the PlayStation game Tomorrow Never Dies which
really didn’t register with gamers.
The only game officially in development is The World is Not Enough,
a first person shooter that was displayed at E3 this year.
While EA is sticking to a 2000 release date for this game, based on
what was on display at E3, it seems like more of a mid-2001 project at the
earliest. Still, to team Bond up with the Quake 3 and now the Need for
Speed engine – if true -- is certainly a smart move on the part of EA.
We will keep you posted if this racing game actually does turn into
fact…we hope it does. Next, Lack of Incite > |
