q.gif (936 bytes) With the g.o.d. concept, are publishers like Acclaim "in trouble?" Would you have stayed at Iguana if Acclaim didn’t have such a tight reign over your development?

a.gif (923 bytes) I think that the current big publishers will be forced to adapt. g.o.d. will provide vital information to all of the development community. Experienced, successful developers will know what they can get at g.o.d., so they will be less likely to settle for less. While the rest of the industry watching to see how it works, there will be a window of opportunity for g.o.d. to build itself up into a leading publisher. I think that g.o.d. already has a better pool of talent than any major publisher.

Certainly, if I could get what I was looking for at Acclaim, financially and creatively, I wouldn’t have left. In hindsight, I’m glad that they didn’t give me what I wanted, because EoR is already so much better than what I would have settled for six months ago.

q.gif (936 bytes) Are you also going to sit on the board of directors of g.o.d.? If so, what is the one thing you are going to bring to the boardroom?

a.gif (923 bytes) Yes, as a founding developer, EoR gets a board seat. We’re going to bring console strength, especially, of course, strength on the N64. The console industry is different than the PC industry. I hope that all of the g.o.d. developers will start eyeing the consoles, and I hope that I can help.

q.gif (936 bytes) It’s been stated that you have two new games in development for the N64, one that will be unveiled at E3. Can you tell us what kind of game to expect – a first person 3D game, or something totally different?

a.gif (923 bytes) I can't say much about this yet, but you can expect fast paced, competitive games with stunning visuals and lots of interactivity.

qb1.jpg (17030 bytes)q.gif (936 bytes) In your opinion, what kind of game does the Nintendo 64 lack? Is there a specific genre that hasn’t been exploited yet?

a.gif (923 bytes) I know this isn’t what you meant by genre, but I’d like to see more great sci-fi games. As part of the Star Wars generation, I’ve been starving for sci-fi for years. I’m thrilled to see the recent batch of sci-fi movies, and I can’t wait for this movement to make its way back to video games in a big way.

q.gif (936 bytes) You are the only g.o.d. member developing for the N64. Is one of your ideas to port over some of the other g.o.d. games (i.e. Terminal Reality’s DEMON or KAGE or 3D Realms’ Max Payne) to the N64 or are you solely concentrating on new development?

a.gif (923 bytes) I can’t discuss specific games yet, but there are definitely exciting possibilities for cooperation with the other g.o.d. members, as well as the original EoR games.
