This month’s Bonus Round is a great one that focuses on the business behind gaming. Why do we keep hearing about publisher layoffs? What’s wrong with the usual business model of selling you at $60 game in a box? I debate the topic with frequent Bonus Round guest Michael Pachter from Wedbush, along with Jason Rubin and Shane Satterfield. Enjoy!

The problem is that these 60 dollar price tags are repulsive to a gamer who grew up with 40-50 dollar games. When I see a 60 dollar game I make a note to self to pick it up when its in the “bargain bin” (a steam summer sale is more like it).
